To be social, make new friends and date?
Or is it to eat healthier, get more sleep, take time to laugh and play?
Whatever it is for you, it’s right there. So close you can almost touch it. Sometimes you do achieve it and it feels wonderful right?
Soon though, it seems to just slip away and the following weeks are a very different story. You feel deflated, discouraged and wake up at night regretting your choices.
I think this means you are human.
But what can we do to stay in the zone that nourishes us?
Clarifying and utilizing what truly motivates us is the key.
I suggest the following activity:
Write down 5 instances, activities, experiences etc. . . when you lose track of time, are in flow, feel passionate and completely absorbed in what you are doing.
When you have your list of 5, next write down a second list of what these 5 have in common with each other. Be specific.
These are your motivators!
Incorporate more of these into your life and it will allow for increased awareness and motivation to make the choices that will propel you to reach what you most want.
If this exercise is a challenge for you do alone (which it is for many), feel free to set up a meeting with me. I will guide you through the exercise and together we will discover your true motivation and how to best utilize the knowledge gained.
