About Colin

My name is Colin, and I’m the proud father of a 33-year-old man with autism. Being a single parent has been one of the most challenging and rewarding journeys of my life, teaching me compassion, patience, and the true meaning of resilience.

For 10 years, I managed a social group for adults with developmental disabilities, creating a safe space for connection, friendship, and growth. Those experiences deepened my understanding of the unique challenges and strengths within this community and inspired me to do even more. To build on that foundation, I spent a year and a half studying to become an Autism Life Coach. My goal is to use that training—and my lived experience—to help individuals with autism, and their families, reach their fullest potential. Together, I believe we can create meaningful change—one life, one step, one moment at a time.

My journey

After going through a bad marriage with a woman who suffered from mental illness. And becoming a single parent to a special-needs child, I realize my life had changed forever. I knew I could not give up because my son needed me. And surviving multiple significant losses help to mold me Into the empathetic individual that I am today.
